My client is seeking an experienced  Project Manager  to join their team and manage a range of exciting mining engineering projects. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating internal resources, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of multiple projects across various disciplines. You will play a key role in driving performance, managing project milestones, and ensuring that projects meet the expectations of clients and stakeholders.
 
Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate project planning sessions, ensuring all team members and resources are effectively coordinated for project success.
• Manage and oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring smooth integration of various disciplines such as survey, architecture, engineering, and electrical.
• Monitor project timelines, adjusting resources and schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in project scope and requirements.
• Prioritize and manage a diverse range of projects, ensuring that milestones are achieved on time.
• Foster and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with clients and key stakeholders throughout the duration of each project.
• Review all incoming and outgoing project documentation, ensuring it aligns with the project’s goals and client expectations.
• Generate and present comprehensive project reports to senior management, highlighting progress and escalating any critical issues.
• Facilitate pre-start meetings to align project goals with team and client expectations.
• Manage any changes to the project’s scope, schedule, or budget, ensuring proper documentation and client communication.
• Support the tendering process, including proposal preparation, submission, and review, ensuring all client needs are met.
• Continuously assess and enhance project management processes to drive efficiency and success across the team.
• Ensure projects are successfully closed out and all project data is properly maintained and filed.

• Mechanical Engineering degree.
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in an engineering or project management role, with a strong understanding of project delivery.
• High level of proficiency in project management software and systems, with a focus on data management and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and negotiate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments, managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Proven leadership qualities with a track record of successfully managing teams and resources.

• Experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity within project management.
• Familiarity with engineering project management methodologies and tools.
• Previous exposure to client-facing roles, with a demonstrated ability to manage client relationships.
• A solid understanding of project management tools and software.
