Electrical Designer
Responsibilities:
- Electrical System Design: Develop electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, auxiliary systems, and DC power implementations.
- Schematics & Wiring Diagrams: Create precise electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using MicroStation and AutoCAD Electrical, ensuring compliance with design standards.
- DC Power Systems: Design and develop DC power systems for specific applications, including schematics, layouts, and component selection (batteries, inverters, charge controllers).
- System Integration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate DC power systems into broader electrical projects, ensuring seamless coordination.
- Drafting Support: Assist in creating prototypes for power electronic systems as needed.
- Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to ensure smooth integration of electrical components.
- Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct testing, identify issues, and implement solutions during prototype and production phases.
- CAD Proficiency: Utilise MicroStation and AutoCAD Electrical for drafting, modeling, and generating 2D/3D drawings.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, software developers, and project managers to ensure project success.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all electrical designs meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in design and drafting.
- Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and best practices.
- Expertise in electrical schematic drawings, cable lists, block diagrams, terminal drawings, reports, and BOMs.
- Experience selecting DC power components (batteries, inverters, charge controllers, power distribution systems).
- Familiarity with inverter and controller compatibility for DC power systems.
- Proven experience in designing power electronic circuits and systems (power converters, inverters, rectifiers, DC-DC converters).
- Understanding of industry standards and regulations related to power electronics and efficiency.
