Electrical Designer 

Responsibilities:

  • Electrical System Design: Develop electrical systems, including power distribution, control systems, auxiliary systems, and DC power implementations.
  • Schematics & Wiring Diagrams: Create precise electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using MicroStation and AutoCAD Electrical, ensuring compliance with design standards.
  • DC Power Systems: Design and develop DC power systems for specific applications, including schematics, layouts, and component selection (batteries, inverters, charge controllers).
  • System Integration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate DC power systems into broader electrical projects, ensuring seamless coordination.
  • Drafting Support: Assist in creating prototypes for power electronic systems as needed.
  • Multi-Disciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers to ensure smooth integration of electrical components.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct testing, identify issues, and implement solutions during prototype and production phases.
  • CAD Proficiency: Utilise MicroStation and AutoCAD Electrical for drafting, modeling, and generating 2D/3D drawings.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, software developers, and project managers to ensure project success.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all electrical designs meet industry standards and project specifications.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in design and drafting.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and best practices.
  • Expertise in electrical schematic drawings, cable lists, block diagrams, terminal drawings, reports, and BOMs.
  • Experience selecting DC power components (batteries, inverters, charge controllers, power distribution systems).
  • Familiarity with inverter and controller compatibility for DC power systems.
  • Proven experience in designing power electronic circuits and systems (power converters, inverters, rectifiers, DC-DC converters).
  • Understanding of industry standards and regulations related to power electronics and efficiency.
